All of the technicians are licensed by the North Carolina department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.

Wayne Southard

Wayne Southard is the president of Turf Fashions. He has been growing turfgrass in North Carolina for over 25 years. He is a former United States Marine, Went to UNC-P then transferred to NCSU. He started Turf Fashions in 1995 and it has been growing ever since. He is NCDA ground pesticide applicator,right of way, public health, aquatic weed control and North Carolina Landscape contractor license holder. Wayne has many hobbies and passions from fly fishing in the mountains to salt water fishing for Red’s in the flats, Long Range shooting competitions, hunting, weight training and backyard BBQ.

John Adkins

John Adkins has been in the turfgrass business for over 25 years. He went to NC State University and graduated with a degree in turfgrass management . He was a golf course superintendent for 24 years in NC and SC. He is an expert in all aspects of turf management. Outside of the business, John competes in BBQ competitions and enjoys spending time with his family .

 

Timmy Lucas

Timmy Lucas has been a production technician for 8 years at Turf Fashions. Timmy is a competition archer in ASA attaining the #3 position archer in the Country. He is highly trained in landscape and ornamental management. He was a baseball player in college and an avid softball player.

Melissa Southard

Melissa Southard is an administrative assistant at Turf Fashions. She attended Greensboro College and majored in biology. Due to her passion for reading, there is no telling how many books she has read over the years.

Mandy Southard

Mandy Southard is the head administrative assistant at Turf Fashions. She graduated from Mars Hill University with a B.A. in Psychology. She was a resident assistant for two years at MHU. She was also a intern in the office of a Women’s Crisis Center. She loves reading and taking pictures of the outdoors.

 

We also employ supplementary help on certain landscaping jobs.
